Civic education · open source · self-hostable
SuperCitizen helps you understand U.S. civics from primary sources, steel-man your opponents, train how you communicate, and put your money where your mouth is — across web, MCP-connected AI clients, and a Claude Skill bundle. Source-grounded. Anonymous-first. Architecturally neutral.
A learner moves from a held belief to a steel-manned, source-grounded position they can defend — and can articulate the strongest opposing case.
The product succeeds when a user can say: “I changed (or refined) a position because I understood the other side and the sources, not because I was told what to think.”
What SuperCitizen is, in seven nouns.
Pillar 1
The Coach
Personal AI tutor with persistent memory + voice.
Pillar 2
The Curriculum
Source-grounded, neutral, contestable lessons in markdown.
Pillar 3
The Mirror
Position tracking + steel-manning + empathy drills.
Pillar 4
The Studio
Persuasion training + civic action templates.
Pillar 5
The Mint
Allocate donations across cross-spectrum recipients in one move.
Pillar 6
The Ecosystem
Third-party feeds, signed, open. Platform doesn't gatekeep content.
Pillar 7
The Surfaces
Web + MCP + Skill at v1.0; mobile + desktop in v1.1+.
SuperCitizen is neutral by design — not by promise. The neutrality clauses (cite_or_caveat, no_partisan_framing) are non-removable from any soul that loads. Builds fail on lessons with no sources: frontmatter. The Coach is unit-tested for these clauses; tests red → builds red.
Cross-spectrum editorial board recruitment runs publicly post-launch. Quarterly neutrality audits with bug-bounty for confirmed regressions.
